Who we are

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Dalian, China, NST (纳思达 / Newstar) is one of the top 10 enterprises in China's auto-maintenance industry and a state-recognised "Little Giant" (a national designation awarded to specialized, innovation-driven SMEs). For two decades our tools and equipment have run inside the plants of around 100 vehicle and battery manufacturers, from global EV leaders to premium marques, and today we export to dozens of countries across Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Our R&D team, led by PhDs and master's-degree engineers from top universities in China and abroad, spent eight years and tens of thousands of test parts developing the painting robot, now protected by invention patents in China, the United States and the EU, including European patent EP 3725420, "Intelligent Painting Robot System." The flagship system, the NST‑H8, pairs a four-column truss gantry with a 9-axis robot, machine vision and self-generated spray trajectories.

From SAIC in 2005 to Tesla and Xiaomi today

The robot is new. The relationships are not: twenty years of tools, equipment and service across China's car industry, year by year. Scroll through the journey.

Built by people who know the booth, the paint and the code.

NST has spent twenty-plus years in automotive aftersales, serving close to 100 car brands. Its core people come from the body‑and‑paint front line of leading OEMs, and its robotics, vision and AI engineers, drawn from leading research institutes, build everything from trajectory generation to motion control in‑house. The robot is where all three meet.

It is the flagship of NST's four business lines, alongside new‑energy vehicle service equipment, mobile service vehicles and special‑purpose smart tools.
